Hello

I've had to change method of delivery from advertised and I need extra details from the buyer like their email address to complete Royal Mail postal collection booking.. there's been no response despite using different ways of contacting them

I have to dispatch asap to meet that deadline so would it be ok to try using my  other email address for tracking and their phone number? or any other suggestions

A friend gives her email address, in these circumstances, then passes on the tracking details to buyer using messages.

Getting this sort of information from buyers can cause problems with ebay, who can jump to conclusion that you are dealing outside ebay.

In your seller hub, goto awaiting dispatch, select relevant item, view order details there is  a box to right hand side, click it (its a drop down) and it displays sellers contact detail eg email and phone.

Thanks Tommy for your reply but I only have access to the app and it doesn't have awaiting dispatch so any ideas for on there as I only can find her phone number and postal address and she's not responding to text or eBay messages

I've been in touch with eBay help about changing my details so I can access the website which is where I think you're referring to and they didn't call me back so I can't update my phone number in order to verify a new password and it was so time-consuming even getting to that point that I was hoping I could do everything from the app ..so unless I try them again and they phone me do you think in meantime it 'll work if I give Royal Mail my alternative email address and her phone number for tracking and then I can just update her through the app as necessary?.. otherwise I can't book the collection

I have to find a way around this impasse asap

It's fine to use your alternative email address and her phone number and keep her updated

Thanks for your reply which was reassuring but also just found out her phone number is 'unrecognised' so assuming the number is faulty in some way makes me unsure about using that now ..what do you think if there's no alternative should I still use it with my email and update her?

Otherwise would you wait until I can probably access my web account in 24-48 hours to see her profile and whether she's updated her details ?

You could still use your details and update her via eBay messages or cancel the order citing problem with buyers address
