Postage Fees

So I have been selling small items on ebay with a very small margin.  I pay the postage and up until  now have been able to choose my own method of posting.  Royal Mail for the item is £1.55 which I carry the cost of.  Today the option to choose my own method of postage isn't there and for me to post is saying £2.74, also Royal Mail.  How on earth is this a viable thing to do now?  And can anyone offer any advice before I close down my account altogether as it's not worth the trouble!!

Simple Delivery is mandatory now for all Private sellers,  there's no workaround , there's no going back.

It's definitely hit the low value sellers the hardest.

Some have  found selling their items in groups together to fight the new  costs,  others are finding selling certain items just not viable anymore on eBay.

In my humble opinion?  Sad times. 😪
