Obviously a phishing scam. Is there a link to report user off my phone?

You can report this at:

spoof@ebay.co.uk

When I have done this,  they usually reply promptly to confirm if the message was spoof or not.  eBay will always address you by your real name not your username ID, and if it appears in your emails,  it will appear in your eBay messages too.

As a new seller,  you do have to provide bank details under eBay's Managed Payments, so that you can be paid for your sales,  but you do this the correct way,  see here:

You need to provide eBay with details of a bank account and have this account verified.  The usual method here, is for eBay to send 2 micro deposits into that nominated bank account for you to receive,  and confirm to eBay.

Once this is completed,  you will be able to list items for sale,  and receive payouts from those sales.

This will show you how to register for eBay's Managed Payments.

@treasurehuntingandy

It's a scam.

You can see that message is from another eBay member, not eBay.

It's designed to trick you into giving out your financial information.

No I didn't, ebay removed it straight away. Looked convincing though.

It really does, it's an awful scam targeting new sellers.

Hopefully eBay will be able to do something about this soon. We've already had somebody posting here who fell for it and gave their details out and had to cancel their card.
