Why does eBay not release payments after positive feedback has been given by the buyer? If the amount is small, say less than £20, it is released, but if larger than this, it is held for two weeks. It would appear eBay is not playing with a "straight bat," and is holding on to the money for as long as it can.

Funds will be added to your eBay balance typically 2 days after delivery confirmation.

However, beginning 6 August 2025, private sellers with a strong sales history will receive their funds typically within 24 hours of the buyer's payment.
