I think ebay are taking the Michael, which is the only way I could put it on here without offending someone I'm sure. So not only am I as a private seller, losing out on sales due to them now putting these buyer protection fees in place, i have to pay for postage out of my own pocket, ( not a major concern if I got it back sooner ) I then have to put tracking on them to make it even more expensive, they then make me wait the 2 days while the item gets to its intended address, then, make me wait another 2 days before they hand over MY money, which as far as I'm concerned, if they tell me it will be available on the 28th February which they did, that money should be there available to me at 12.01 am on 28th February, not when someone there end decides to put it through. Robbing cheating, I won't swear. What can we do about this people?

Rant over.

Then new Buyer Protection rules came in on the 4th of Feb,  join in the many robust discussions on the forum, and see what others think.

Fee things which may be of benefit to you.  Postage can be paid for with pending funds,  and this announcement if you are selling items for £10 or less.

Items under a £10 in value level,  so will be exempt from the necessity to add a tracked service,  see eBay's latest announcement here:

We’ve also heard your feedback and understand that shipping costs are particularly top of mind for low price items. When you’re selling a single item for £10 or less, and it’s sent untracked, funds will now be available 24 hours after you receive positive buyer feedbackThis will be live by the end of February.

Yep,  I know,  most buyers do not leave feedback, and I would never usually recommend this,  but sending the buyer a polite message,  asking if they would kindly leave some feedback, explaining with eBay's new rules, payouts from sales are not released until a buyer leaves feedback.

I do recommend though,  to ask only once,  anymore and it may start to look like harassment.

Think then, most buyers then would leave some ?
