Payment taken after auction closed

Hi 

Paid for a large item earlier and contacted the seller to arrange collection. He says he closed the auction some time ago as there was no interest. How can I claim a refund?

If you paid through eBay checkout and the item is in your purchased list, then you bought it.

If it was a collection item you need to wait 7 days and then open a case for item not received.

If it was not a collection item then you wait until the day after the expected delivery date ebay gave you when you paid.
