Paying for an item

My account is saying I've paid for an item, but has no order details. I have no record of payment and the seller hasn't received payment. I've tried "unmark payment sent" it doesn't work. I've tried "request total" and that doesn't work.

Any ideas? I really have no idea how to pay for the item.

It is possible that the seller has accidentally marked your order as payment received.

That does seem to happen quite a lot.

Once the seller has done this, they can't change it to say they haven't received the payment and you won't be able to pay.

Really, the seller needs to contact Ebay Customer Services.  They will mark the item as 'not paid' and you will be able to pay.

Suggest this solution to the seller - I am sure they want you to pay so they can complete the sale.

They can ask in the forum themselves if they have further information to add.
