Partial refund scam

International Buyer purchased item, requested return as not as described, 

Then sent a message asking for a 33% partial refund to close the case !!!!! 
The member has just joined and already asking for refunds etc. 

The return process for international returns are a nightmare so are they scamming to stop the sellers the hassle??? Any help would be appreciated

It doesn't matter if they are scamming or not.

You need to choose what to do next.

l told the buyer no problem with the return.

he closed the request and messaged me saying he wants 33% refund????

UPDATE 💥💥💥

The buyer closed the return request and has started a chargeback!!!! Sent me messages saying he’s getting 100% of his money back with laughing emojis!!!! And eBay does nothing to help !!!!

I think you should be advised by ebay and given the chance to put your side of the story, and request return of item.  The fact that he has already closed an ebay case for no good reason should be borne in mind

This buyer knows the system and no doubt has a history of similar requests for refunds
