Opting out of Simple De;livery

I sell books mainly in the £1-£4 range which I have previously posted as 'large letters'. ebay have changed the listings to Simple Delivery and with Buyer Protection making them unsaleable.

How do I over-ride the Simple Delivery for all such items, preferably without revising each item on sale? I just cannot  find my way through the various seller pages to do it

Opting out of Simple De;livery

Letter size items are eligible to opt out of SD.   There is some confusion about whether than includes large letter items but either way sellers have had problems opting out so at the moment I don't think it's working.

Also not all sub-categories are eligible.   In FAQs on here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/sellercentre/postage/simple-delivery?targetgroup=C2C
click on "Which listings aren't required to use Simple Delivery?"

They give bookmarks as an example in the books category so I don't think actual books are included.

Opting out of Simple De;livery

Dear 'Peaseblossom',
Thanks for you reply.

I've just noticed that it is when you change the price of the item, (which I've been doing because of the switch from fees to buyer protection) that the system takes over and switches your postage charge to Simple Delivery.

Books take a while to sell so I think I will just have to leave existing listings alone.

Regards

Phillip
