One year warranty not honoured

Bought a used iPhone for father in law. It was offered with one year warranty. It’s gone faulty after 8 months. I have messaged and emailed the seller numerous times, with no reply. I have been in touch with eBay, I’m sure it’s a bot or computer replying as they keep saying as it’s over 30 days. They also keep saying to go to the manufacturer. The phone is a few years old. Never had problems with eBay in 22 years, but this time lost all respect. I have reported the seller, eBay sent a link, but never again. Is there anything else i can do. It’s not a lot of money but it was bought because of the warranty. Thanks

One year warranty not honoured

eBay won't get involved with warranty scenarios, their buyer protection lasts for 30 days, so this would be between you and your seller.

Any warranty offered by any seller is only ever going to be as good as your ability to enforce it when required and, as you've discovered, you can't.

Is the seller a UK business seller? If so, contact Citizens Advice and ask them if they can offer advice on how to proceed.
