Old address showing up on the Shipping for the bought item

I have ordered a pair of glasses which i won during bidding but the shipment address is showing my old address even though i have updated my address and payment detail before the purchase. I contacted ebay call center and they said i have to call them again once the package reaches the distribution center. Aren't they checking their system before forwarding it to the buyer?

Ebay supply address you used at checkout, not ebays error.

Seller has to post to this address to be protected. 

No idea why CS said about distribution centre as it is nothing to do with them.

If seller has not posted item yet, they can cancel and relist to,so you can buy again and put correct address at checkout.

There are 5 different places where you have to change your address.

Check again and make sure that your address has been changed everywhere it needs to be.

As advised, the only way for the item not to be sent to the wrong address now is to get the seller to cancel the sale or, if they are prepared to do so, to change your address before they send your item.
