Odd display upon starting app

Just started the ebay app and just got this, nothing else... What on earth??..

I guess I could close and restart the app, but never seen anything like this (I know it sayd "Ad") but why would any app start with just this on the screen?

Sorry,  I have edited my reply on seeing your post did not apply to eBay's Live Promotion displays yesterday as your issue was one some days ago.

Are you still seeing the odd page,  or is everything back to norm ?
