No feedback allowed and no refund ?

I bought an item that requested two steps in different dates to be completed.  Meanwhile they were organising the dispatch the 30 days garante ran out ( I was not aware of that).
Then, the seller sent it to the wrong address and he claims he never got the product back to him.
I contacted the Royal Mail and is shown on their web page that the item had retuned to the sender.
At the end, I lost my refund, doesn't  have the item and the seller doesn't care.
And, I can't even leave a feedback to alert the new buyers.  HOW COME eBay ?
I m really disappointed with Ebay. I even called the customer help desk with no resolution at all , and despite having explained that the seller holds it till the warranty time expired between the two transactions they blamed me for not actioning the refund during the 30 days from the first time BUT THE PURCHASE WAS STILL IN PROCESS.
Be careful about buying and something having to be adding up to the previous purchase and then you will no be able to get a refund.
thank you

You should not have to pay a deposit for anything you buy on Ebay.

If the seller is asking for a deposit, and has a really long date for you to get your item, it is likely they are out to obtain your money without providing you with anything.

Once the latest estimated delivery date has passed, you have 30 days to make a claim through Ebay, and you have 60 days from the sale date to leave feedback.

if you are still in time, you may be able to get help from your payment provider.

Best be aware of how your money is kept protected on any platform that you buy from.

A purchase can't be split into two steps, I've no idea what your seller was doing there but they shouldn't have done it. Your 30 days started from when you purchased the item.

Was was it, out of curiosity?
