I’m trying to create a listing for a guitar worth £600 but in the delivery section none of the options offer adequate compensation for extra large items. On the old system this was never an issue as I’d just buy the shipping I want. Now we’re forced to make a limited choice with no details of what you’re buying. There’s no simple shipping, no advanced section for custom shipping, nothing. What do I do?
This new system is horrible.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The opt-out of Simple Delivery for large items is not working properly at the moment but see the info and rick's solution on here:

Thanks for the reply. However this doesn’t work, I’ve increased the price to £800 as Rick states, but it still doesn’t give me any options with compensation. As for the Royal Mail Special Delivery option, they don’t accept parcels over 61cm, every time I’ve tried this they refuse it at the post office telling me I need ParcelForce for extra large items.

I’ve set the price at £800 and here are the options I’m presented with.

The workaround should give you the option to opt out of Simple Delivery and then you select the postage you want.

Thanks but there are no options for opting out of simple delivery, there are no options of any kind. The only option is “View all delivery services”, but none of them have compensation. I really hate this system. It’s a massive *bleep* up.

This is driving me mad!!! I’ve been talking to eBay rep who had no idea how to solve what should be a simple shipping matter.
She was asking me to click buttons that don’t exist. All I need is adequate compensation for an expensive item. It’s not rocket science. I suggested i might sell it on Reverb instead, she replied that is probably my best solution. EBay is dead.
