New trusted device message

hi, after logging on to eBay, I received the following message.  Worried that the location is many miles away from me and maybe my security was compromised.  I changed my password but also worried if compromised was my new login mirrored by hackers.   
should I be worried?

No, I get the same thing regularly.   The location is always miles away.   It's to do with the location of your internet service provider.

We get so many questions about this.

These are just routine security checks to make sure that it was actually you who logged in using a different connected device or location, or (in my experience) sometimes even at an unusual time of day or night.

The location will be a location used by your ISP and is entirely irrelevant to your own location.

They should explain this more clearly. These messages are intended as a reassurance but often cause unnecessary worry.
