Need help (or at least clarify something) about Combined Products Postage and Simple Delivery

Sorry if this topic has been talked about before (I don't have time to search the whole of the forums and it is probably a really stupid thing to ask about, but I'm getting more and more confused with what I read on the forums + help pages + what I've been told by an EBAY agent in the past). Anyway I need help with Combined Postages:

  • I have home-media products, each listed as Simple Delivery and each as SMALL PARCEL - WEIGHT (up to) 1kg. They are all FREE DELIVERY.
  • Someone has bought x6 of these products, and on my orders list they are all combined in one listing, meaning there is only one postage-label I must prepare. I did not combine them - they were combined atuomatically by the Buyer and/or EBAY.
  • These x6 products together weigh more than 1kg.
  • Some time ago I was half told by an EBAY agent + half read on the forums that there is an extra postage charge for combined products orders, when the weight + size dimensions of the combined products exceeds the original (individual) listings weight + size dimensions. I was told that when this happens I am supposed to contact the Buyer and ask them to cancel their order, then they re-order each of the same products separately one at a time. Assuming whatever I was told and what I read was correct (and wasn't something else to do with combined order postage charges that I've somehow mixed up and confused myself), IS THERE STILL AN EXTRA POSTAGE CHARGE WHEN THIS KIND OF ORDER HAPPENS - OR HAS EBAY / SIMPLE DELIVERY SORTED OUT THIS KIND OF THING AND I CAN GO AHEAD AND DISPATCH ALL x6 PRODUCTS TOGETHER WITH ONE POSTAGE-LABEL WITH NO EXTRA POSTAGE CHARGE?

You should be registered as a business seller, then Simple postage does not have to be used, and you can work out your own postage just as we all used to be able to do.

You do not seem to have any items listed or sold under this ID, so as I cannot see what you are selling, (home media products) my assumption for being a Business Seller may be wrong.
