Need ebay to step in

I bought defective item and I'm been given run around by seller. I want ebay to step in but when I go to the purchase and then more options the ask ebay to step in option isn't there. Please help

Ebay can only step in AFTER YOU HAVE OPENED A CASE and seller has not dealt with it.

You open a NOT AS DESCRIBED RETURN, to get a return label and on return a refund.

Until you have done this there is nothing for ebay to step into. You have to give seller the chance to deal with the return without involving ebay, as once ebay get involved in the refund, seller gets penalised.

As advised, you can't simply ask Ebay to step in. There is a process to follow.
