Money back

I decided to sell an item to an interested buyer and when he received it he found out someone had stolen the main pieces of it and requested a refund. I have issued the refund but have now lost out on my product and my money what can I do in this situation??

Assuming the transaction was completed correctly on ebay the buyer should have opened a "damaged" return case.   Then ebay would have refunded the money and you keep the payment.   Nothing you can do now you've issued the refund yourself.

Did you sell it through this account?

If you have refunded the buyer, you will have to try and make a claim against the carrier.

How successful you are will depend on who the carrier was, the service you used and the level of insurance.

You will also have to have evidence that the parcel was interfered with and items stolen.

If Royal Mail deliver opened items, they put the parcel in a plastic bag - something like that would be evidence for a carrier.
