Hi. I’m a new seller in EBay and just sold an item for £320. I understand my funds are on hold. Two questions. How long are the funds likely to be on hold for and what is the maximum you can sell an item for without having funds held?
Many thanks.
Adam.

We can't answer those questions, we can only refer you to the published payment holds policy.

Payouts are held from new sellers be it a few pounds or a few thousand for up to 21 days.
This is for security reasons for both your account and for your buyers.
eBay do not have any of your selling history so need proof that the item(s) have been delivered. Tracking showing this will release the money sooner. Members have also said that a buyer leaving feedback helps too, but a tip never ask for feedback it is volunatry and you may receive some you didn't wish for.
Items delivered also prove that the genuine seller is selling from the account especially essentail for a high value item sold like yours.
Once you have established yourself as a good seller , posting items promptly, being delivered, this hold ceases, and you can with draw your payouts daily.

To add when you post items always upload the tracking info against the item. Once tracking confirms delivery in some cases funds are released 72 hours later. If you check your seller hub and the orders it will give some indications as to length of hold.
