Dear All,
I purchased a combi microwave last November. I recently started using the convection, air-fryer functions and noticed that items seemed undercooked. I therefore purchased an oven theremometer to check and indeed when the microwave is set at 220C and beeps, indicating at temperature the thermometer was reading 160C. In fact the max temp I could reach was 200C and that was after 1 hour. The oven will not reach its max of 240C. I contacted the seller and they said I needed to contact the manufacturer. Having conacted Russel Hobbs customer service they replied that the unit is not covered because the ebay seller is not registered!

Depending on how you paid, you may be able to start a chargeback.
However, many payment sources only allow you 120 days to start a return if the item is not fit for purpose.
Otherwise, this is between you and the seller.
If it is a UK business seller, contact them again. I would ring them or write a letter.
Manufacturers often only offer a warranty to the original buyer and may not cover you unless you bought from an authorised seller.

Many thanks, greatly appreciated I was not aware of this chargeback or
indeed this warranty aspect. As I paid by PayPal I can raise with them as
they provide 180 days. Perhaps I should inform the seller of my intent!
Thanks again
Unfortunately you're out of time for both a chargeback or a PayPal claim.
This is now between you and your seller.
