Listings switched to simple postage

I sold two items this week and have had to use ebay simple postage. I have been selling on ebay for 16 years. I am a private seller and sell now and again when having a clear out. When I listed items I was able to select an option that avoided the ebay simple postage as I prefer to buy labels online direct from RM. My listings were switched to simple postage this week, overriding the settings I had selected. I didn't have this issue when I sold an item a couple of weeks ago. I printed off the labels and there was no weight on these, no details of whether these were for parcels or large letters etc. This week my Dad had to pay extra for postage to receive an ebay parcel. This has put me off selling on ebay now, will stick with another site that I am finding most of my items sell on now. Based on other posts I have seen today it seems many others have found simple postage has been made compulsory for them this week also. I am concerned that buyers might end up paying extra postage for items I have sold on ebay.

Listings switched to simple postage

That is correct eBay announced from April 15th Simple Delivery will be mandatory for all Private Sellers,  and it has been a very slow roll out but there's no avoiding it, and those lucky enough to still have been able to select Custom Postage for a longer period,  have had their listings automatically changed to SD postage,  some with erroneous postage so sellers are having to check each and every listing changing some on the way.

Not ideal , but Special Delivery is here to stay, as said,  there's no avoiding it.

Listings switched to simple postage

My listings were switched to RM tracked 48 as opposed to special delivery.
