Laptop bought but found out 8 months later the BIOS has an administrator password set and I cannot upgrade it. I have tried contacting the seller but he is now ignoring me. Can i organise a return outside of the return window?

I'm afraid you cannot no,  not through eBay the return window is through a 30 day timeframe and that has long lapsed.

I'm presuming this was not sold from a UK business seller if it had a pre set password,  so if the seller is not answering there is little you can do.
