Is anyone else having problems buying things from the UK and getting them sent to Jersey in the Channel Islands. I live in Jersey and it used to be easy buying items from eBay.co.uk but over the last 6 months or so the listings nearly always say ‘ unfortunately the seller won’t post to Jersey’ and I am unable to complete the checkout and so loose the item. Another issue is that when it is on the rare occasion possible to buy it now the postage stated is extortionate and does not reflect actual Royal Mail prices. 

the sellers say they don’t know the reason why and EBay when contacted have not been able to help. 

Has anyone had this issue and does anyone know of a solution?

The usual solution is two fold.

The seller needs to opt out of Evri as a courier option , and using RM is an added bonus as there is no extra charge to the Channel Isles,  which Evri does have making the postage as you have found,  extortionate.

eBay in their infinite wisdom have lopped Jersey and Guernsey into ' Europe' so if a seller has this as a place they do not post to, Jersey is then blocked.  The seller here,  needs to untick the box in their Site Preferences.
