Jacket sold and received

I sold a jacket, got paid straight away, sent off straight away, buyer was vey happy with the jacket the feed back reflected this as it was positive. I did not buy a label off Evri to post it, but sent it through Royal Mail, got there on time. It was coming up as non delivery on the Ebay orders page and then I had a message to say that Ebay had refunded half of the price that the buyer paid. What is this about?

I will not post my items with this company, Evri  due to the fact that we sent a Welsh blanket off with them, it went to the local hub but it did not come out of there,  this was an expensive item. We did get a full refund to give to the customer but, this customer had searched about for a long time for the specific colours in the weave.

The buyer must have opened a claim or ebay's way of penalising sellers who don't use their Simple Delivery.   You can opt out of using Evri here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/prf

In future to add a new tracking number you still need to generate the original prepaid label.   Then add the tracking via the More Actions dropdown menu or View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow.   That needs to be done on a desktop browser.

Then if you paid for the original label you can cancel it here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
If the buyer paid for it it will be refunded to them automatically in 30 days.
