Ive sold an item but delivered it personally after learning the customer lives around the corner.

I've sold an item but decided to deliver it. My hand now I'm having problems proving the customer has recieved the item as the system wants me to post the item?

You won't be able to prove delivery.   All you can do is mark as dispatched.   If the payment is on hold it will remain that way for up to 30 days.

You need to finalise the transaction now only on the Seller Hub here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sh/ovw

Go to Orders >> Awaiting Postage, click on the item then top left on View Order Details.

Far right from More Action drop down menu click on ' Mark as Dispatched' .

As there is no tracking you cannot prove it has been delivered, but if the buyer leaves you some feedback members have told us this has released the hold on a payout sooner.

I would never usually recommend asking a buyer to leave feedback as you may receive some you didn't wish for,  and feedback  is entirely voluntary.  However,  sending a polite message or as they live nearby popping round to ask if they can do so,  and explain the reason,  that it could release the hold on the payment they made.
