Items in the wrong category

How can a seller list an object (electrical) as used when they know it doesn't work? Ebay's definition of used includes the following, "The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended"  Surely the seller should have this item listed as "For parts or not working"?  Ebay give these definitions to help us all, sellers and buyers alike, just because the seller puts in their description that it is a "None runner" this doesn't make it right. They should be told by Ebay to put their broken items in the correct category. Lets be fair and play by the rules.

eBay expect their sellers to be responsible and  to list items correctly and place in the correct category true,  but with over 7 bilion listings on at any one time,  they cannot possibly check each and every one for errors.

You could send the seller a polite message, they may not realise what they have done.

I have in the past,  made a few innocent mistakes and received a polite message pointing these out for which I was grateful and immediately corrected the listing.

It's for the seller's advantage to list correctly,  less likelihood of cases for item not as desctibed to be opened.
