Item didnt arrive after item stopped moving during tracking

Hi All,

In January I sold an item in the UK which was destined for Taiwan. I printed off the pre paid evri postage label provided by ebay and sent it on its way.

A couple of months down the line the buyer has been in touch to say the item has not arrived and having checked the tracking it shows the item moved between a few storage units before stopping.

I tried to contact Pitney Bowes who I believe are responsible for delivering the parcel as the tracking was through them but on their website they redirect customers back to ebay. I try and speak to someone at ebay and I end up in an automated reply loop.

My buyer rightly wants a refund at this point but seeing as I attached tracking through ebays approved supplier I can't see why I should be responsible for this.

Through the sellers portal I am unable to raise this for ebays attention and am running out of ideas. The only options they provide are message buyer, refund buyer or update tracking.

What's more is the tracking number no longer seems to work (maybe its timed out after 4 months?)

Does anyone have any suggestions on what route I can take now? Ideally I'd like to speak to someone from ebay but that seems to be near on impossible.

Thanks in advance

If it's more than 30 days since the estimated delivery date the buyer cannot do anything to get a refund via ebay.   In any case you are covered as long as the tracking shows delivery to the UK hub.     The buyer's case will expire eventually.

You could contact ebay and ask if there's anything they can do for the buyer.   You can request a callback on here:
