International shipping

I am trying to purchase an item but can't.  The seller says they've listed their items for international shipping, but when I go to checkout it states the seller doesn't post to my address. I've messaged them and they say they do through the international shipping facility. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thank you.

It won't be anything you're doing.    If the seller uses ebay's Global Shipping Programme it sometimes block particular items going to specific countries.   It often seems random.   

An alternative would be for the seller to opt out of GSP in their postage preferences, then relist the item with direct postage to the UK.
