Incorrect offer retraction - no option to send new offer

I recently had an offer on an item but put the wrong amount on my response so retracted it,  but then I could find no way to send the correct value offer.

Even tried to contact the buyer but if I put the item number into the option there was no way to send a message.

In the end I sent a message after selecting "not related to an item" but never heard back.

How could I have sent a revised offer?

You can’t. I presume you intended to make a counter offer!

Buyer would need to make another offer, they can make up to three. If you mentioned your counter offer in a message, then it is up to buyer for any next move, but if nothing then they are not interested.

OK,  thanks.  Bit of a shame if you made an incorrect offer that you can't correct it,  but at least I was able to send a message to the user stating the amount I would accept.

He didn't come back but then someone paid full price and left positive feedback,  so it worked out fine in the end.
