returned item to the address mentioned in the delivery parcel for the initiation of the refund procedure without using the ebay QR code to scan and paying it myself - so checking whether it shalln't be an issue.

Moreover when can I expect a refund please - any help would be much appreciated!!

That could well be an issue.  If you didn't use the ebay return process and label it will be much harder to get the seller to refund you.

Why didn't you use ebay returns?

ebay site wasn't accepting my image which I tried uploading few times in the format it requires you to therefore not prolonging the process by holding onto the item - I'd decided to return to the address on the parcel. 

that would be something very serious I guess??
