Hi all. I've searched previous posts for the same query, and there are many, but looking to put my mind at rest from someone with any experience of this.
My item was delivered to the collection point at 3pm this afternoon, but no code. This is the first time this has happened to me. I've used this collection point many times before. I walked there but of course they couldn't hand me my parcel without the code. They showed me the parcel and scanned it again just in case.
Ebay customer support live chat said that a code will be sent in 48-72 hours. But I'll be going away in 72 hours for Easter, so a bit concerned, I tried the call back. I spoke to the customer services on the phone who told me it hadn't been delivered yet - but it had, Royal mail tracking confirms that and I saw my parcel. They also told me they can't give me a collection code, and that the collection point (a newsagents) isn't showing as a collection point but rather as a regular shipping address. I doubt this as I have the ECP code and I've used them many times before.
So really looking for advice for what to do next? Many thanks

Just a follow up to my question for anyone else in the same situation.
Basically the retailer didn't know how to type in the ECP code correctly.
I got it sorted the next day, but it wasn't straightforward. I called ebay CS early in the morning and spoke to a lovely Irish lady who suggested I go back to the retailer with the ECP code and ask them to type it in manually.
I tried this but the retailer at the collection point said it didn't work. I was about to give up but decided to request another callback from ebay CS and put them directly on the phone to the retailer.
After a discussion the shop owner figured out how to type in the ecp code and the collection code was generated. I got my parcel.

Try CS again but do so at 9 a.m. today when lines first open as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid
Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays
9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.
Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.
As said, I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
