I need help

hi everyone I need help. I put my registration plate in to the system to get parts for my car as I needed an item. An item came up I put in an offer. Once I put that offer in eBay then said the item won't fit my car so I tried to redact my offer but I couldn't find a way to do that so I wrote to the seller straightaway before the offer was accepted to say I'm very sorry but this item won't fit my car, please do not accept my offer. Later on that day the seller then accepted my offer. I wrote to him again. I said I asked you not to accept my offer because it won't fit please do not send this because I would just have to return it and it will be a waste of time. I then got an invoice by email having they already took the money from my account and I wrote back and said please don't send this item out. It won't fit my car. Can we cancel the transaction? Not at any point did they get back to me or acknowledge any of my messages via eBay or via email. Finally the item returned it's still sitting in the box because it won't fit my car and I've said to them can you send me a returns label. I said given that I told you many times that this would not fit and not to send I feel that is your responsibility to pay the postage and now they won't return any of my messages at all. I have wrote to them now three times. I cannot seem to find a way to contact anyone at Ebay. It is absolutely useless. I'm going round in circles and I feel like a victim of their system. Any advice on how I can deal with this because I just feel like this whole process has been a complete waste of time and it just cost me money unnecessary due to delayed or no response given by the  seller.

Did you send a formal request to cancel the sale? The  seller usually does act on an actual request. If you were just sending messages the seller may not have even seen them because not all sellers check their messages.

To return this item I presume they are a business seller? A private seller does not have to accept a return request.

Go to Returns on  the right of the item in your purchase history and click on return.

This should generate a returns label from your seller which unfortunately you will have to pay for.
