I Have My First International Sale But Issues With Postage Options

Hello everyone,

So as the title says, I have made my first international sale, yay! BUT

On postage options I set up my own as Royal Mail International tracked yet on the postage page it comes up with 'legacy' packlink international delivery options, only offering UPS and DPD options.

My question is, if I organise the postage myself and head down the Post Office to send my package via Royal Mail, will I be able to get access to/claim back from the postage fee I set with the sale.

My item is a small package going from the UK to Italy and I had the buyer pay £14.75 for postage.

Thank you~

As long as the buyer's postage payment has been paid into your account, you can go and buy postage at the Post Office.  You don't have to claim it back - check 'order details' to see that the payment has been made to you.

You don't have to buy postage through Ebay.

Thank you for the prompt reply, It looks like the fees have gone into my pending sales so I shall head to the post office and see if my postage was correct *fingers crossed* + any hidden customs fees >.<

Have a good day~

There will be no hidden custom fees however sending a parcel to Italy I would strongly suggest sending it tracked as poste Italiane can be erratic at best. Also make sure your post office correctly does customs declaration electronically.

Thanks, I am going through that online now, I have to declare an email for recipient tracking info so I have set it to myself so I can then add the tracking number to ebay, since they don't give you contact details other than the address.

Deciphering the ita;ian address format is interesting too. I was putting it through googla maps to make sure it was correct ^_^
