How to contact eBay

I received a deranged message from eBay "20% VAT will apply".  Seller in UK, item in UK, I am in UK.  This stopped me bidding as I was afraid my bid would have 20% added to it.  How do I contact eBay about this?  Their "assistant" is just sending me round in circles.

Either there is something about one of the accounts that has a non UK connection, for example registering on eBay.com and not eBay.co.uk, or it's eBay's recurring glitch.

The glitch tells you VAT will apply but doesn't charge it at checkout.

In either case there is no point contacting eBay.

Thank you. The erroneous message stopped me bidding any further. EBay sabotaged the seller from receiving any further bids from me.
