Bought an item from a seller who claimed to be a UK seller but is actually in china which is frustrating to start with but some how eBay don't really care! Then to add insult to injury the item is so not what was described in the listing it's almost fraudulent!! And yet It's probably just me, but I can't find the report link anymore!! I am old and clearly not with it....... Also annoyed 😠

If you check the listing you will find that it's the item that's located in the UK, not the seller. Sellers in China often have a distribution base in the UK.
If the item is not as described you can use eBay's money back guarantee. There is a link to this in every qualifying listing, or see: https://pages.ebay.co.uk/ebay-money-back-guarantee/
Just open an "item not as described" case and wait three working days for the seller to respond. After this, the option will appear to escalate the case if necessary for eBay to step in to enforce a refund. As the item location was stated to be in the UK the seller will be required to send you a prepaid return label if they want it back.

The problem is the seller has a whole host of items with the same "mistake" in the listing and yet I don't seem to be able to find anywhere to flag the seller.

eBay do not work on ' flags' or warnings no matter how well meaning from buyers, eBay work on cases. True though, because Chinese sellers usually sell items in great numbers, a greater number of cases need to be opened and noted to take effect.
Open that case for item not as described.

Every listing has a report option on it any member can use to flag it to ebay,if it goes against any listing policies, but if you do report a listing to ebay this way, there is no guarantee it will be removed due to the use of ebay using AI to look at reports

I think it just annoys me that they are able to get away with it so easily these days!
