The reporting function seems to have changed. There is a message saying click the 3 dot icon on the listing but there is no 3 dot icon on the listing. Ebay need to make reporting suspected scams MUCH EASIER. I have seen the same campervan listed every Saturday by a different seller (classified adverts). The price is far too low (and the same is true for the other vehicles the seller is advertising). I made contact on the first advert I saw several weeks ago and it was clear from the responses that it was some sort of scam - or possibly data harvesting buyers details on classified adverts.

There's a 'report this item' link on each listing, just don't expect ebay to act on it.

The 'Report this item' link still works for me on a MacBook and iMac.

You can't report classified ads.
There is no ebay MBG on vehicles anyway.
Classified ads are dealt with between buyer and seller.
Never pay money for vehicle until you have inspected it in person.

Why can you not report classified ads if you suspect they are a suspicious? The buyer has to disclose their contact details and the ads may therefore be used for data harvesting. In view of this I no longer respond to classified adverts. I have seen the same vehicle le advertised multiple times. When I responded to the first advert, the seller was unable to provide further details or arrange a viewing etc and both the seller and the advert then disappeared. The same vehicle has been advertised each weekend since by a different seller (and at far too low a price). Something fishy is clearly going on and I want to report it in the hope that others don't fall for whatever the scam is.

Look at the bottom of the listing, on the right hand side.
There should be a question mark inside a circle which will take you to the 'report this item' page.
There is a category for fraudulent listings, but don't be disappointed if the response states there is not an issue with the listing.

I can report a Classified Ad by using the 'Report this item' text link located top right of the description box.

Reporting fraud in the motors section can be a futile exercise. As soon as one ad is taken down, professional criminals will probably have another one up.
In a TV programme about organised crime, a senior police officer reported that one criminal gang alone had registered "multiple hundreds" of fake accounts on eBay to place fraudulent listings for non-existent motor vehicles. And campervans seem to be a particular favourite.
Remember that there is NO BUYER PROTECTION WHATSOEVER for vehicles bought here, however you pay and whether by auction or by classified ad.
Scams only succeed because buyers are conned into paying for the vehicle unseen. However convincing they may sound, don't fall for excuses why it isn't available for inspection or promises that eBay or anyone else will hold your payment safe until you have seen and approved the vehicle. They won't!
The golden rule when buying on eBay is not to pay anything, not even a deposit, until you have physically seen and inspected the vehicle, checked the paperwork and had an HPI check. Then pay in cash, which is the only method of payment that is safe for both buyer and seller.
If a seller comes up with excuses not to accept these conditions, walk away from it.
