I am trying to list a draft, which I originally created with "Sell one like this" and then - over a few days - changed to adapt to a slightly different item.
Now ebay creates confusion with the following nonsense message :
"You can't relist this, because you've selected to automatically relist it."
I have NOT "selected to automatically relist it". Instead ebay forced this on me when I set a listing period of 7 days.
And neither am I relisting anything. I'm simply trying to list a draft.

Without being able to list drafts they become useless.
One has to wade through the entire listing procedure anew.
Any workaround - if one exists - would be welcome.

Are you accessing the draft by going to your drafts page here: Manage drafts and clicking on Resume Draft? Doing that then you should be able to just submit it. If you're doing that and getting the error message then it sounds like the listing you've started has got corrupted somehow - in which case all you can really do is abandon it and start again.

I tried "Resume Draft" as well as clicking on the draft's description line, which is armed with a link. Same result.
If "the draft got somehow corrupted", then the ebay software is corrupted.
What a mess.
Thanks anyway for trying.

Yes, it makes no sense. I regularly list that way from drafts and have never had that happen and can't think why or how it's happened or of anything else you could try. Sorry I couldn't help.
