How are postage refunds paid?

Hi all.

Like all of us, I am less than perfect and occasionally make a mistake when purchasing postage.  When this has happened I have gone to "Manage labels" then cancelled the label.  It says "We will contact the courier and you should receive a refund within the next couple of weeks" or something very similar.

When I have looked back through my Ebay payments for the last 6 months there are no refunds shown.

Does anyone know where the refunds show up?  Are they sent direct to the bank account linked to my Ebay account or should they show in my Ebay account?

Many thanks

Nick

Hi 2000jaykay, thanks for your post.

If you purchased the label through eBay, once the cancellation request is approved the label will be voided, and you will see it in your transactions report in your payments section.

If you go to your payments tab, and scroll down to the transaction activity, you will see 4 drop down menus. If you click on the second one from the left hand side of the screen, and change it from "All types" to "Postage Label" you will see all the labels that were purchased and refunded/voided.

I've just checked for you, and it looks like that last time one of them was voided/refunded was back in February, for example.

If you recently cancelled one, it is probably still under review or it could've been voided.

Hope this helps,

Marco

I am currently away on my sabbatical, and will return in July. Please expect a delay in my reply
