Hi everyone,
As a seller, one of the toughest parts of the journey is facing dishonest buyers or scammers — especially when you're doing everything right.
Recently, a buyer opened a false INR (Item Not Received) case against me, even though the item had been delivered with valid tracking. Instead of reacting emotionally, I calmly submitted proof, explained the situation to eBay, and let the system work.
Here are my top tips to handle such situations:
Always use tracked shipping — never ship without proof.
Take clear photos before dispatch — packaging, product, and label.
Stay calm, never argue with buyers — just reply professionally.
Use the eBay resolution center — and submit clear evidence.
Keep your communication polite and within eBay.
Even if you end up refunding sometimes, eBay notices your honesty. In my case, they even removed the defect from my account when they reviewed everything.
Tip to all sellers:
Stay loyal to eBay’s policies. Run your business with integrity. The platform truly supports those who do things the right way.
