I am currently the highest bidder on an item then decided to increase my maximum bid. Why has it now increased my bid when I was already the highest bidder?
That happens if your first bid was only just enough to overtake the highest bidder but wasn't a complete increment (pre-set by ebay). So your second bid makes up the increment. Here's info on increments: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/bid-increments.html
