Had to pay £7 postage as no postage had been paid using the Simple Delivery programme.

I bought and paid for a top, including postage, but when it arrived, no postage is been paid so I had to pay an extra £7 to receive said package. I have contacted the seller but, because they subscribe to the Simple Delivery programme, I'm not sure if it's on them or eBay to refund this charge? I cannot work out how to actually get through to anyone at eBay to chase this. The options on the reply as not valid as I can't do either.

No one will refund the surcharge. You should have refused to pay, and let it go back to seller. Then you open a not received case to get a refund of what you paid in the first place.

You could I think be justified in opening a not as described case, but would only get a refund of what you originally paid, not the extra £7.

Simple delivery labels are prepaid, I can't see how something could be sent simple delivery with no postage paid.

Can you screenshot the label and the surcharge notice?
