Hi has anyone experience of a high value item reaching GSP Hub Lichfield UK with delivery confirmation and then on route to overseas destination tracking fails and item disappears?
I have had my payments put on hold as a result pending further enquies ( now over 24 hours)
My obligations for posting were clearly met. The fault must be with GSP chosen courier ?
And yet I am also penalised. I consider this treatment unfair and unreasonable actions by eBay.
Any seller feedback on this appreciated.

You are not responsible once item arrives at GSP centre.
Make sure you always upload tracking to ebay when posting.
Reply to case with tracking and state it was GSP item.

Buyer opens a case with you, and that automatically freezes money. It is up to you to ensure that ebay are aware that it is a GSP item and proof of delivery to them fulfils your part of the transaction.

Thanks, appreciate your feedback. Yes they do have all that information. And yesterday customer service told me I was not responsible after confirming GSP had received item, however my account is still on hold. The Item was delivered to GSP on 28th October and yesterday overseas tracking failed and buyer opened item not recieved case. I asked why I am being penalised still when I met all my obligations. No real answer to that question. exccelt case stil being reviewed.
Seems pretty unfair & unreasonable to restict my account under these circumstances.
I guess I just need to have more patience??

Thank you for taking the time out to reply, Yes eBay is fully aware that this was a Global Shipping Sale. Tracking was provided and delivery was confirmed, the item was lost or damaged in transit after it left the hub.
It arrived at GSP on 28th October.
However, despite proving this they still hold my account as restricted. Free buyer delivery to GSP was also provided which offers greater seller protection.
I am not responsible for this loss in transit. Sadly I am wasting my time with phone calls.
I have read eBay's policy on sellers' Global Shipping rules. But appears worthless. even considering I have met all the obligations in the policy rules. Perhaps tomorrow my restriction will be lifted?

eBay always place funds on hold when a GSP case is opened and will release it once the case is settled and GSP pay out.

A note of caution to any seller dispatching goods overseas via GSP UK. I am now on day four of my payment account being frozen, without any end in sight of a resolution.
Three phone calls to customer services over three days ( today the advisor was more helpful and understanding) however with different outcomes on time scales with 24 hours commonly used.
As a result, it appears that although my item was lost by couriers with tracking on 9th November in Switzerland no date has been given on when this will be resolved. The case was opened by the buyer on the morning of 11th November. Apparently, as a high-value item, the case is still under review.
eBay assures me that I am not responsible under the GSP for meeting all the required obligations and tracking supplied and confirmed delivery to Hub. I ask the question why do I feel that eBay DOES hold me responsible?
My lesson learnt here personally Do not use GSP ever again! Particularly if cash flow is important.
Eventually, my account will be re-stated as no other outcome can be realised however, totally unfair and unreasonable business practice by eBay.
