Hi all sorry not used EBay in ages
I am selling my motorbike and it goes live tomorrow, in “preferred payment” the only option is cash on collection which I don’t want .
I’ve set up 2 bank accounts which I have verified but it’s still not showing that they can pay by card ?
Amy help appreciated

Card payments can be withdrawn at a later date so ebay recommend cash on collection. Far safer for you.

You would get the money but a credit card chargeback can be done up to 120 days after payment. It reverses the transaction and withdraws the money from your bank account.

Unlikely that payment for a Vehicle can be completed by Card through eBay checkout ---
FYI --- Classified Ads. at total fee of £19. 99 allows the exchange of contact details for viewing and price negotiation over a 30 day period --- set the Start price at or near the price that you would find acceptable --- Avoid inviting/accepting Offers which will halt the listing and the deal may never be completed --- just continue to Negotiate an acceptable selling price and only remove the Ad. when you have a definite buyer with Cash in hand or a Bank Transfer is safely deposited/confirmed before handing over Vehicle keys/documents on buyer viewing /collection. No additional FVF selling fee is charged. --- Do not accept PayPal payment. --- stay safe,

There is never an option to pay through checkout in the vehicle category. It's always cash (or equivalent) direct to the seller on collection.

You could also ask for a bank transfer if you do not wish to handle a lot of cash.
Make sure the transfer is through before handing over the bike and paperwork.
