Funds

I have just recently cancelled all my listings due to new pending funds introduced by eBay for private sellers.

Re: Funds

Your listings will stay in your Unsold section of Seller Hub for 90 days, after which they'll be removed.

You can relist any time before the 90 days is up should you wish to.

Re: Funds

I'm by no means agreeing  that holding payouts for a couple of days is ideal, but are you sure you do not wish to continue on eBay?

I looked at some of your recent sales,  you're selling  between 1 - 3 items a day most under a £5 value.  Surely waiting 2 days,  is manageable ?

Have you seen the latest message from eBay that items under the value of £10 do not need to have the added expense of tracking,  feedback left will release those payouts in 2 days.  That must help?

Yep, I know few leave feedback now,  and I would never, ever usually suggest asking for feedback,  but in this case,  a polite message to your buyers asking them to confirm receipt by leaving some feedback explaining this releases the payment for that item.

It's a big change , I don't like it,  no one does,  but I feel selling collectables like you are , there will always be that market for buyers, maybe worth a rethink,  and what is that saying 🤔....Keep Calm and Carry On .

Re: Funds

It's not a couple of days!

It's two weeks

Re: Funds

It's 2 days if tracking shows delivery, and as I explained for your items , any below £10 in value ,  tracking is not needed and payout will be released in 2 days if the buyer leaves feedback.

Re: Funds

Yes,

Providing they leave feedback.

Otherwise ebay still withhold my payment just to gain extra interest.

Re: Funds

Yep true,   but as I mentioned in my post above, whilst chasing feedback is not a good idea,  I think politely sending your buyers a message, explaining if they would kindly leave some feedback , because under current new rules , your payment is being held , and feedback will release it.

Your buyers are collectors, some may even wish to be repeat customers,  I'm sure they would oblige.

Many buyers are also private sellers so will be aware that feedback will need to be left to release funds in some circumstance
