Free postage

Hi all 😀😀

I have not sold on ebay for a considerable time .... boy, how it's changed !!!   My query relates to listing items as free postage.   If I do this does that mean I am committing to free postage globally or just to the UK.  I would like to extend my sale to the wider world but not sure about the free postage situation.  I can see a new (to me) option of UK Global Shipping Centre, which I am not sure how that works ... costwise I mean.  I have read a tutorial on it and it seems to me that potential buyers outside the UK  will see a different listing showing the expected postage cost ,  does that still apply if I have offered free postage ?

Thanks ..... from a 'luddite'  (look it up 🤔)

If you offer free postage (seller pays) and sign up to Ebay's Global Shipping Programme (GSP) then you will only have to post within the UK.

Items sold internationally using GSP are sent to a UK hub.

Your overseas buyer would see a cost which included VAT and a charge for international shipping - Ebay collects those amounts and the cost of the item only goes through your account.

Use 'Help & contact' top left of your Ebay page to read about 'Simple delivery' and fees for international sales.

Free postage

Thanks for that ... much appreciated 👌
It's how I thought it worked but, having not used it before, I am very
grateful for your confirmation.
Thanks once again 😎
