Fees

Why does eBay charge the promoted listing fee on top of postage and taxes. Sounds just like a stealth eBay tax to me.  I feel they’ve lost touch with their buyers. Anyone else think the fees are all wrong nowadays

I don't understand your question.

A promoted listing fee is what it says: a fee that you agree to pay for an optional promotion. If you choose to promote a listing, you pay the promotion fee.

It has nothing to do with any postage charge. Taxes are charged by the government, eBay doesn't have any choice about including them.

Fees

My question is, why if you sell an item for £10 the % isn’t on the £10. Why is it on £10 plus postage plus taxes plus fees?  It surely should only be on the item value.

Fees

The simple answer is that Ebay can choose what fees to charge and how to calculate them.
