Feedback

I bought an item and after two days, I noticed it hadn't been sent. I contacted the seller who then posted it. He claimed he didn't need to send it out until the day before expected delivery, as he said it was a next day delivery. He actually lists delivery as two to three days. In addition, it did arrive later than the due date. Had I not reminded him, it could well have been an additional 3 days late. I left feed back which has been removed.

I am not happy as his messages were rather nasty and think he has got away lightly.

Ebay give you a range of estimated delivery dates - did the item arrive after the latest estimated delivery date in the email from Ebay?

When I sell, Ebay tell the buyer to expect the item well before I have to send it - that may be what has happened here.  As you can see, I could post this item late at night on 18th February which is the day before the latest estimated delivery date.

Dispatch by 18 Feb at 11.59pm GMT

Make sure you send your order within the dispatch time you specified in the listing.
Estimated delivery date shown to buyer: 13 Feb 2026 - 19 Feb 2026

If the seller sent the item in time, and your feedback was based on the delivery, then Ebay would probably remove the feedback.  If the seller used Ebay Simple Delivery, then Ebay do remove negative feedback based on delivery.

You can choose not to use this seller again.

Re: Feedback

It is so easy to say something in feedback that is not sllowed.

In my opinion the best way to leave negative is keep it brief  and mark down the star ratings, they do more harm to a seller than a negative.

By keeping feedback brief, just saying something like “Rather unsatisfactory seller” would say it all.

Ebay by increasing the length of what can be said in feedback, have done more harm than good, as it means many deserved negative feedback get removed because of words that are not allowed. Mentioning for example ebay or opening a case are grounds for removal.

Re: Feedback

He did use the Simple Delivery Service, which would explain why it was removed. A rather nasty individual, who has got off scot free. I will put it down to experience.
