Hello. I recently purchased a door lock that within a week of fitting jammed.
This incurred a £150 locksmith bill just to remove the faulty lock to gain access to the property.
Can I claim for the £150 locksmith bill in addition to a refund?

Sorry, no you cannot claim any refund for damaged caused, not from eBay anyway.
You say you purchased the item recently, how recently?
You have received an item not as described, go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.
The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund, if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you. If they don't , need to escalate the case, ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.
Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early, and do not forget to escalate.

There is an "item defective" option in returns reasons. Should I not choose this?

Yes, that would be OK too , to select defective item.
Remember not to close the case for any reason or promise the seller may give, and if necessary if there's no refund do not forget to escalate.
