Faulty item

I purchased a battery charger a few weeks ago. When I went to use it, it gave me an electric shock on the battery connectors even with the charger switched off, I  have photographic and video evidence of this. I returned the item in the original package, exactly as it arrived, only to receive just 60% of the total amount. The  seller stated that it came back damaged and was not saleable (as, of course it should not have been because it was dangerous).  The seller said that they were on holiday and would deal with it when they returned only, when back, they said they are discussing it with the company that make it. Hence the time lapse, (my fault for allowing it), and eBay closed the claim. It would seem I can't leave feedback to warn other customers and, also, was told  that it was back up for sale. Having spoken to eBay twice,  regarding his matter, with no result. Worth noting that, before you purchase, check where the seller is located - this one it seems is in China.

If you paid with a debit or credit card you may still be able to issue a chargeback, you'll need to run this by them.

Hi eBay are not interested and the seller won't communicate with me. But thanks for your input.

NEVER allow sellers to string you along with promises until eBay's 30 day money back guarantee has expired.

Buying from unknown selles on eBay is risky, especially from China. eBay even warned you in the user agreement that they don't guarantee that descriptions will be truthful or accurate or that items will even be safe or legal.

I'm afraid there is very little room for trust here. eBay is a jungle. If an item is faulty, use eBay's money back guarantee and escalate it if the seller uses any delaying tactics. Never close a case until you have your money back.

Yeah I’ve learned that one too well but thanks for reminding all of us
about this sensible rule.
