I'm the buyer. The seller dispatched my item quickly via Evri but beyond the initial tracking data showing that Evri had the package, it was not updated again. Eventually, about 4 weeks later, Evri confirmed they had lost the package. The seller sent photos of these messages to me. The seller refunded me via eBay and I bought the same item, brand new this time, from the manufacturers website. About two weeks after that, the original package was quietly delivered by Evri. I contacted the seller immediately to tell them the item had turned up and I asked the seller to generate a label for me to post it back to them. The seller said they would but more than a week later they still have not despite my reminders. The seller has now relisted the item for sale despite the fact that its currently at my house! I suspect they will get me to post it direct to the new buyer and save the return postage. They are now not answering my messages. What should I do? I want to return the item to the seller, not be responsible for sending it on to a new buyer. What if the new buyer claims there's a problem with the item and the seller blames me? I think the seller should have the item returned to them and should not have relisted it while it is still my possession. Am I being unreasonable?

Tell them you've seen it relisted and you won't be sending it onto to someone else so they need to send you a label. That would have to be done outside of ebay if it's been more than 30 days. They could ask you to repay the refund for the item but there is no way of enforcing that either.

Thank you for the reply. I have messaged them again to ask for a label and said
"I don't want to be responsible for posting it out to a new buyer - that is not okay with me. If it goes missing in transit or if the buyer doesn't think the condition is as described - I don't want to be caught in the middle of that and I don't really think you should have relisted it until you have it back. I can understand if you don't want to pay for return postage but honestly that's for Evri to recompense you since this whole thing is their fault!!"
I wish it was possible to contact a human at eBay customer services. Do they have any humans working there I wonder?
